He knows me!!
My son FINALLY called me MOMMY! I walked away from him yesterday, around the corner, out of his sight, and he said "mommy!"
He has this fascination with his Daddy- all he says is Da Da, Daddy, Da Deeeehhhh, etc. He will even sing Daddy. In the car he will hold his thumb and pointer finger to his mouth(this is his microphone) and sing "ya aya daddeeee, dddaadddeeee" all with different notes. He has been able to say mommy, he just wont- until now!! I have been more excited about the mommy deal than the accomplishment that he has REALLY taken his first steps this week (Memorial Day), and or that he will raise his hand and say aluha- (hallelujah), or that he can now "Give Five."
I must go- I will brag more on my son at a later date!

Jonathan's not quite talking yet... other than his "da-ba-da-da-ba-ma" baby talk. But, this morning, Jackie was holding him on the couch and I was kneeling down in front of him, talking to him and kissing him and smiling at him. He was all happy and smiley. Then, I stood up and walked into the kitchen -- he burst into tears and started crying... just 'cuz his daddy walked away from him... that's kinda almost sorta the same thing... ;-)
