PARENTS! Here is one more thing to add to your "That's dangerous!" list...my list is running out of room
This morning my little boy woke up about 5am ( I could hear him crying on the monitor). Too early. At six I am getting in the shower. He is still somewhat crying, but I can tell he is not really awake. So I hope he will drift back to sleep. At 6:45 I am running late. I go to get him out of his bed, and he wont sit up, he starts crying and holding his neck saying ouch! (which actually sounds like "out" because he cant do the"ch" yet) I think, oh his allergy's have dried his throat, he needs a drink. So I leave to fetch him a sippy cup of milk. I come back, I talk to him, he just keeps crying. He is not usually like this, and he won't look at me. Which is very strange. So I call for his daddy- he is very much the daddy's boy...and then I realize he has a string around his neck! Well I get all nervous and my hands start to shake (the last time I reacted like this was when he was 6 months and got a fish hook in his lip!!!!) When he gets really hurt I have a hard time taking control of my nerves. I pull on the cord, but that made it worse.
What happended was a long string from the pillow had wrapped around his neck, and when he flipped over in his sleep it just kept getting tighter. So thank God his dad was around, it had gone around his neck about 4 times! He was ok, I wasnt.
Psalms 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
