Try this Question

If the Sun is closest to Earth
during the Northern Hemisphere's
winter and farthest during the
summer, why is summer hotter than winter?

Don't worry I havent forgotten the commandment...

"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments

(Exodus 20)

Just in case some of you were concerned with my last few posts!

One of the guys will win this year...no doubt about it

Okay, you better vote for Taylor Hicks....He is awesome. He loves music, he's talented, he's entertaining...a bit on the wierd side....
BUT vote for him. As my dad would say "he can't help it, the music is in his bones!"

I didn't care too much for Elliot...but he was good. He will go far.

Chris was great...but I want Taylor to win...This guy will stay in the race for a while.

Now Gedeon from Memphis is talented, so is Bucky (what a name)- but I would not be able to listen to a whole CD from them...
and Ace will only make it because of his looks.

I have changed my mind after Last night

This is who I hope makes it to next week. I am not sure about Mandisa, but I think she will be on next week. I will make a better judgement then.

My predictions....

1.2.
3. 4.
5.
6. 7.
I think this show is like "Star Search" for the twenty first century
Okay. I know you are surprised that I watch this show. But I have been upset with results from the past couple of years, and have decided that this year I want to make sure my vote is in. I believe Carry Underwood should have lost to Bo Bice . He may not have been the best, but I think he would have been a better performer than Carrie. She can sing....but I dont think she can perform (I hope that makes sense).
Ok- back to my predictions.

Here they are:
#1Mandisa- She can sing, and has a great smile- she will make it- but not on American Idol
#2Becky- She can sing and is beautiful. If the guys are voting she will make it close to the top
#3Ace- If the young middle school girls are voting- he will win. I believe he is what they would call a "heart throb"
#4 Ayla- Great voice, has real potential. But I Dont know if she can perform
#5David- He is bringing back the "Frank Sinatra" Sound- that would be cool
#6 Kellie- Well, we have already seen a Kelly win- Kelly Clarkson....but this girl has the "times are tough" story...we will see how America responds
#7Taylor-MY FAVORITE- I hope he wins! He is fun, he entertains, he definetely does not have the performers appearence, but I like his style!!!!

May the best singer/performer win!
There are 24 contestants left as of today....you can look at them on American Idol.com

LOST.....is there a reward?????

Have You Seen Her?
NEW YORK -- The search is on for a champion dog that got loose at New York's Kennedy Airport after competing at the Westminster Kennel Club show. The dog is a female whippet named Vivi. A whippet is a short-haired athletic dog that looks like a small greyhound. Vivi won an award of merit at the Westminster show this week. Her owners say she's worth about $150,000. She was being flown to California when she escaped from her crate at the airport. Owner Jil Walton told the Daily News that she fears for the dog's life. She says Vivi is "not happy" when it's cold, because she's just a "skinny little thing." She says she doesn't know if she can survive chilly weather. The dog had been booked on a Delta Air Lines flight. Delta says it's working with local authorities to find Vivi. The airport covers nearly 5,000 acres. More than 2,600 dogs were entered in the show at Madison Square Garden, including 25 whippets. Best in Show went to Rufus, a colored bull terrier.
THE DOG IS WORTH HOW MUCH???!!!!! Escaped from the crate???? She didnt have a lock on the crate??? I say send one of the Westminster dogs after it....they are the best right??
$150,000 dog- yikes. I am in the wrong industry.

When I get where I'm going
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly
I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain
(Chorus:)
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here
I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck
(Chorus)
So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
So much work to do
But when I get where I'm going
And I see my maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of his amazing grace
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
Hallelujah
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
Yeah when I get where I'm going
I heard this song on the radio by Brad Paisley (back up is Dolly Parton) And I just thought I would share it with you all. The music adds to the lyrics (I couldn't find a place to listen to it for free)
But I just loved the line about him talking about is Granddaddy. And it made me think of my "grandpa's" and how as a kid it always took two or three steps to keep up with him, but when I see My Grandpa in heaven he will...Match me step for step....

!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday !!!!!!!!!!!
To my Wonderful Husband
Babe, I hope you enjoy it....I know the day started with you waking long before your alarm had to go off so you could hold a crying baby- so that I could jump into the shower...then off to work for the early meeting, then driving in a van alone for 8 hours, fixing machines that should not be broken in the first place, or for being called out to a place of business becasue the "Copier is broke..." how do you tell the employess that the machine is unplugged or just out of paper??!! Then it will be time to come home, pick up the boys, give them dinner, bathe them, TRY to eat our dinner and put them down (all with in the time frame of 2 hours)
then Maybe we could watch a movie??!!

I love you!

He wasn't all smiles yesterday....

Lil' Chad had is two month appointment yesterday. He weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs (which is more than likely below average for my family :0)
24 inches long, his head is 40 1/2 cm. He got four shots- and made the saddest crying face ever. I am proud to say I (mom) did not cry...but I cant say the same for Grandma. I saw her wipe away tears.
