It's Hot, It's Humid, Well...It's Memphis

My older brother said my Blog spot is getting Stale! Well that would be because this Memphis heat and humidity takes away all the energy and emotion you have. You become lazy. Have you noticed in all the old movies (located in the south) how you get grossed out because everyone is always shiny with sweat, and acts lethargic???? Well I understand! We have started out the summer with our home air conditioner becoming moody. It only wants to work sometimes. We think its just needs some TLC, but that would mean time spent outside- or should I say time outside in the natural sauna.
Then the air at My work decided not to work for 3 consecutive days!!!!!!!! SO i would go to work and not feel like working, then go home, nope-dont feel like working (the dishwasher puts off heat, the washer doesnt make heat, but then you have to run the dryer which increases the house temperature by atleast 10 degrees, and if you vacuum you get even hotter) but even when you do nothing you are so hot you feel like you just ran a mile or something (well a mile would be alot for me- not for some) SO my blog IS STALE. Maybe there is a theory behind this, I wonder if those who live in the "nicer" states (Like California, Florida) and by nicer i mean less humidity and lots of sunshine year round i bet they have more blog postings???? it's a thought

He's gonna be a charismatic baby.....

Yesterday my babysitter (Jennifer) took my son to her church's VBS program(Olive Branch Baptist Church). She was in charge of the little one year olds. She had My son and one other little girl. Because she only had two children in her class she decided to take them into the music service with the older children. You must know that my son loves music. If he hears drums, a song, or any sort of rythm he will begin clapping or bouncing up and down. Well as soon as the music started playing he started clapping, throwing his hands in the air singing (yelling to some ears), bouncing up and down, and laughing. An older lady walked over to Jennifer and said "that boy is going to be a little charismatic baby! Our music isn't going to cut it for him", and my babysitter (smiling) proceeded to tell her that -Yes he already is! His parents go to Christ the Rock. She told Jeb to "Praise The Lord" and he stuck his hands way in the air!
If you tell him to "say Hallelujah" he raises one arm in the air! :0)

He knows me!!

My son FINALLY called me MOMMY! I walked away from him yesterday, around the corner, out of his sight, and he said "mommy!"
He has this fascination with his Daddy- all he says is Da Da, Daddy, Da Deeeehhhh, etc. He will even sing Daddy. In the car he will hold his thumb and pointer finger to his mouth(this is his microphone) and sing "ya aya daddeeee, dddaadddeeee" all with different notes. He has been able to say mommy, he just wont- until now!! I have been more excited about the mommy deal than the accomplishment that he has REALLY taken his first steps this week (Memorial Day), and or that he will raise his hand and say aluha- (hallelujah), or that he can now "Give Five."

I must go- I will brag more on my son at a later date!
